iRobot Scooba Floor Washing Robot - robotic floor washer

About iRobot Scooba Floor Washing Robot

4 stage cleaning process:

PREP Scooba packs its own vacuum cleaner. It sucks up loose dirt, sand and crumbs so your floor surfaces are ready for washing. There's no need to sweep before Scooba cleans. WASHING There's no mop, no bucket of dirty water. Scooba sprays your floor with clean, fresh washing solution from its clean tank. SCRUBBINGScooba's rotating brush scrubs your floor. Gently removing dirt, grime and spills. PICKING UPFinally, Scooba sucks up the dirty water-and the dirt and germs with it - and keeps it safely away from the clean washing solution.

Inside Scooba robot
I go under furniture

I am vertically challenged. Not tall. 9 centimetres. It is an advantage. I can get underneath furniture and other hard to reach areas. Tables and chairs, cabinets and sofas. I clean under them, not around them. Tall is overrated.

I calculate as I go

I'm a robot. I have a robot's brain. Logical. So I calculate the optimum cleaning path as I go. That way I cover every last bit of the floor. Several times, actually. You can tell me where not to clean. And I don't clean there. Logic. I can clean up to 40m2 on one tank and up to 80m2 on one battery charge. That's 3 or 4 rooms... or so I calculate.

I wash all sealed hard floors

I am not fussy. I have no favourites. I wash tiles, linoleum and sealed hardwood floors all equally well. I clean the whole floor, including the edges: they are part of the floor. I'm smart, so there's no need to move rugs or carpets. I avoid them: they are not part of the floor. I also avoid stairs and other drop-off points. I am a robot. Not an adrenaline junkie.

I suck it up

I'm a professional. I complete my four-stage cleaning process in one pass. I prep, wash and scrub. That's three. When I have scrubbed, I squeegee and suck up the dirty water with all the bits and germs. Then I do it all again. I leave your floor clean and hygienic. When Scooba has cleaned your floors, they are dry enough to walk on.
